MSA, Bally Design earn OH&S honor for helmet suspension

MSA Safety's Fas-Trac® III Suspension was awarded Occupational Health & Safety magazine's 2014 New Product of the Year award in the Head Protection division. Bally Design teamed with MSA to update its ratchet suspension system for industrial hard hats.


Bally Design adds two designers to growing team

Bally Design is pleased to announce the hiring of Jenna Effler and Tom Chavara as industrial designers.

Jenna, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design in 2014 from the University of Cincinnati. She studied industrial design for a semester at the University of Wuppertal, Germany. Her previous work includes design co-ops at Munchkin (Los Angeles), Fossil (Dallas), Rock-Tenn (Cincinnati) and an internship at Design Impact.

Tom, a native of Sharon, Pa., earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in 2014 from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His previous work includes stints at BZ Design, Xerox, Product Ventures and Sun Products. Tom is a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).

“Tom and Jenna are talented designers, each bringing new, unique and different perspectives to our work,” said Design Director Dino Mariano. “We believe that their diversity and ability to work collaboratively is critical for a creative firm like ours to deliver great results. Their work experience translates well to our clients. They have already begun to make immediate impact on a number of ongoing efforts, and we are anxious
to get them started on some of the new projects in our consumer products portfolio.”


Randy Rossi, president of Bally Design, contribute to new Haines' book

Bally Design President Randy Rossi provides a case study in the latest edition of author Steven Haines’ “The Product Manager's Desk Reference” as part of the module on “Building Insights and Driving Strategies by Making the Market Your Primary Focus.”

Rossi to be guest speaker at leadership summit

Bally Design President Randy Rossi will be a guest speaker at the 2014 Product Management Leadership Summit on Oct. 9 in New York City. Actor/Comedian Denis Leary donates MSA Thermal Imaging Cameras

Actor Denis Leary presents the Detroit Fire Department with new equipment from his "Burn" documentary proceeds. The equipment included several of MSA's handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras — designed by Bally Design.
