Medrad MRXperion MR Injection System

DEVELOPED FOR BAYER HEALTHCARE, THE MRXPERION is a software-controlled medical device used for the administration of intravenous contrast media and saline into the human vascular system for diagnostic studies in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures.

Commonly referred to as an automated injection system, it is designed to allow a technician to fill disposable, single-patient syringes and perform an injection with a consistent user-programmed volume and flow rate.

A primary goal of the design was to improve overall user experience by decreasing preparation time and optimizing procedure management allowing the technician to share valuable time with the patient, not with the product. Through extensive voice-of-the-customer research, Bally Design was able to develop a user-centered product system which includes a control room unit, ergonomic injector head, multi-purpose tray, efficient cord management, new tubular structure design, and expanded user interface.
